First things first, GOD ADORES YOU! You might not think you are anything special but you are more special than you can even imagine to God. God sent his Son, Jesus to die for each and every one of us (Romans 5:8). He died and rose again so that we could be free and forgiven (1 Peter 3:18) from the mistakes we make. It was so hard for me as a teen and even sometimes now to acknowledge that God's love is completely different from any love any human (including a guy you might be dating!) can give us but its the truth. Sometimes we get so tied down by what people think and we let it eat away at our hearts. But what God thinks is what matters and He thinks YOU ARE SPECIAL! Let me let you in on a secret....Even when you feel you can't go to anyone on this earth, Jesus wants to be your bestfriend, and he qualifies for the greatest bestfriend you could EVER have. He wants to sit with you when you are hurting. (Psalm 34:18) He wants you to tell him everything you are feeling. (Psalm 10:17-18) He knows it all already so you might as well tell him about it, right??? He will not turn away from you and leave you abandoned. He wants a personal relationship with you because you are His most prized possession!(1 John 4:9-10) What you have done in your past, He will forgive if you ask...what He longs for is for you to come to Him with an honest heart (Hebrews 4:16) and make it right, ask for forgiveness if you've done something wrong, ask Him to take away the shame, guilt, or self hatred you may feel. He wants you to be free from the hurts in your life. He wants to walk beside you all the way! HE LOVES YOU THAT MUCH!!!

LIFE HURTS – G.O.D. H.E.A.L.S. 8-steps
By John Baker, Doug Fields and Megan Hutchinson

(check out their website and program at Life Hurts, God Heals)

Step 1: Get help. I admit that I am powerless on my own and that I need help.

Happy are those who know they are spiritually poor. (Matthew 5:3)

Step 2: Open your heart. I now know that God exists, that I matter to Him, and that He is the only One who has the power to heal my pain.

Happy are those who mourn. God will comfort them. (Matthew 5:4)

Step 3: Depend on Christ. I realize I need to turn my life over to Christ. I need to depend on Him in the all areas of my life, including all that I say, think, and do.

Happy are the humble. (Matthew 5:5)

Step 4: Hear and speak. I agree to evaluate my life and confess my faults to myself, to God, and to someone that I trust.

Happy are the pure in heart. (Matthew 5:8)

Step 5: Embrace God’s way. I will stop doing things my way and put my life on the path that leads toward God’s way.

Happy are those whose greatest desire is to do what God requires. (Matthew 5:6)

Step 6: Ask for forgiveness. I will offer forgiveness to those who have hurt me, and I will ask for forgiveness for any wrong I’ve done to others.

Happy are the merciful. Happy are the peacemakers. (Matthew 5:7,9)

Step 7: Live for God. I will set aside some time for God each day to examine my life, read my Bible, and pray so that I have the power to live God’s way.

Happy are those who know they are spiritually poor. (Matthew 5:3)

Step 8: Share with others. I will take the message that God heals to others in need and share it by my words and actions.

Happy are those who are persecuted because they do what God requires. (Matthew 5:10)
