Information Sites

This is a site about how to end self injury.

This is a site from "Focus on the Family" that has a series of articles about self injury.

This is an article by Streetbrand magazine about self injury and how our culture and media pressures make it harder to be a teen these days.

This website has short online videos that give insight into self injury as well as eating disorders.

  Treatment Centers

Mercy ministries is a residential home ministry for teen girls who struggle with a wide variety of issues such as eating disorders, teen pregnancy, self harm, drug abuse, past abuse issues, ect.

Self Abuse Finally Ends is a nationally recognized treatment program. You can contact them by calling their hotline at 1-800-DONTCUT.

 This book speaks of the many lies that teen girls believe and encourages teens to believe the truth of how God sees them instead. It discusses such topics as guys, God, and self image just to name a few. I definately recommend you read this book. 

This is a great book about recovering from self injury. It is the first in a series about the many issues teens face. Click on the title of the book above and it will link you to Jan Kerns website where you will find information on self injury and will be able to read an excerpt from the book!

Other Helpful Ministries

This site is a great one to check out! It's a site about finding freedom from self injury and other things that hold us down.

End All the Pain is a website created by a former self harmer, Vikki Duffy. She now does motivational speaking and has a book about her experiences with self injury called "No More Pain".

This is another great site for girls who self injure. It provides information about a support group if you live in the NYC area.

ID Ministries is a ministry who's mission is "helping young ladies find true love by realizing their ultimate identity is found in Jesus Christ!" I encourage you to check out their website.

This ministry seeks to reach out to teens in a manner that is revelant to youth.
